Meet Kevin, Brenda, and their daughter, Jordan, who is a Sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering from Wexford, PA.
What made your family choose UTK?
On our first visit, the pride, passion, and love of the school was genuine in our campus guide. My daughter was looking for a school with lots of spirit. UT demonstrated it at every turn. Even during the application period we were all impressed with the personal touches such as the personalized postcard from our guide to the musical acceptance package.
What has been the highlight of your Volunteer family experience?
Our highlight is how the rest of the family has bought into the Vols life. The fact that our daughter is thriving in her program only solidifies we made the right choice of UT.
What advice would you give to other families and students?
Get involved with the University. You get what you put into the Vol experience. Embrace these magical four years and you will become a VFL.
