Sunday, October 11

Looking Ahead
Schedule a Zoom or phone call with your student. Sunday is a great chance to get in touch with your student to check-in on them and see how they’re really doing. Midterms have come and gone and we’re a little more than a month away from the Thanksgiving Holiday and our Fully Online Exam Period. Ask them how they’re feeling about closing out the semester and see if they need any extra support.

This is also a great chance to share the information you’ve learned the past two days. Use the tips and resources shared at Friday’s Parents and Families for Student Success session if they need an extra boost. Let them know how much support is available to them through this unprecedented semester.

If you plan on visiting your student on Rocky Top this semester or at any time in the near future, be sure to check out Visit Knoxville for weekend activities and safe events happening in the city. If you’re not ready to make the trip just yet, they also provide a variety of ways you can experience Knoxville from wherever you call home.
